Plug the camera in, shoot, and let the night upload itself. Tethered capture is the piece that runs on your Windows machine; the Android app covers events, folders and galleries from a phone. Everything your guests and clients touch happens in a browser.
Windows desktop app and Android. macOS and iOS in development.
System requirements
One machine at the event runs the capture app. Nothing else in the workflow needs an install — not your client, and not a single guest.
Minimum spec
- Required: Windows 10 or later
- Required: 64-bit processor
- Required: 4 GB RAM minimum
- Required: 200 MB disk space
macOS and iOS are in development
There is one desktop build today and it is Windows. We would rather say that plainly here than have you find out after you have paid for a plan.
macOS
No Mac build yet. Mac users can run galleries, selection and the studio wall in a browser, but not tethered capture.
iOS
In development. Guest access needs no app either way — a guest scans a QR code and uses the browser.
If a Mac build is the thing standing between you and using Studioshare, tell us — it changes how we prioritise.
What the install actually gives you
Everything below is live right now. Nothing on this list is a roadmap item.
Tethered camera capture
Connect the camera to the Studioshare desktop app and frames sync as you shoot. No card swaps, no import step at the end of the night.
QR + selfie guest access
Guests scan a QR code at the event, take one selfie, and get the photos they appear in. No app install, no account, no waiting for a link.
Server-side face matching
A 512-dimension AuraFace embedding is computed on our servers and matched with cosine nearest-neighbour search against the event gallery.
Selection & proofing workflow
Create events, organise shots into folders, and invite clients to mark their picks — so you shoot to a confirmed list instead of guessing.
Branded galleries on your own studio path
Every event lives at studioshare.app under your studio name, carrying your brand — not a generic file-sharing link that says nothing about who shot it.
Studio wall for the venue screen
Every event can have its own wall on its own address, so you open it on whatever drives the screen and walk away. It stays dark until you publish it, and you pick which folders appear.
Android app on Google Play
Guests and photographers can use Studioshare on Android today. The tethered capture workflow still needs the Windows desktop app.
